Camera Evaluation
Reflecting back after watching this camera practice video, I
can see that I did not include a full range of shots, for example I did not
implement a long shot. Furthermore, I could have also included a couple of low
angled shots to depict frames from a different perspective. If I had to repeat
this task, I would have implemented two low angled shots, to emphasis the
structure of the tripods legs being extended.
I
can also evaluate that I did take into account any shots or directors notes
with the effect to explain the importance of the tripods spirit level, which is
a crucial aspect, one that I should have considered. However, I did try to keep
all of the subject matter in the central position of the frame, but I feel my
filming was a little shaky for several of the shots; I should have opted to use
a tripod for a smoother transition from shot to shot.
With
reference to the director’s notes in this short video, I should have justified
my choice of shot and angle by explaining the rationale in a contextualising
manner.
